Terminal Stage Colon Cancer – Treatment is just to buy time

Dear Dr. Chris,

Nice to meet you.  My dad is diagnosed with 4th stage of colon cancer  days ago.   Attached above is some of the photos during the operation and reports.

My dad has proper diet all these while. Every morning, he will have oats. But he has a bad habits of eating tit bits such as nuts and Chinese tea during night time. He started to have this discomfort feeling at the lower abdominal area during Feb’14. During Apr’14, he had shingles at his abdominal area but recovered quite fast without any medication. However the discomfort feelings continue, therefore he went to seek for specialist during late Apr’14.

Finally, he went for operation on 24/5/2014 and by then diagnosed by doctor with 4th stage of colon cancer. Doctor did not remove the tumor but did a by-pass. According to the doctor, the cancer cells have spread all over his abdominal organs. Even with chemotherapy, it is just to buy time. Details are attached above.

I am desperately to meet you so that I can help my dad. However, he just underwent operation. Do you think his condition is fit to travel down to Penang and meet you in person? We stay in Shah Alam, Selangor. Or do you think I can just meet you personally and bring my dad over by then?

Your help and opinion is very much needed. Hope to receive your reply the soonest the possible. Very much appreciated. Thanks.

Note: My dad did a heart by-pass surgery few years before. He has slight high cholesterol.

Reply: No problem, come and see me.

Advanced Cancer in the abdomen

Dear Dr Teo,

My sister who is 50 years old was diagnosed with paritoneal cancer.  She underwent surgery on Thurs 29 May 14.  The doctor informed that the tumours have spread all over the abdomen lining and possibly to her lungs as well.  Her cancer is at such an advanced stage that there is nothing else he could do for her.

He now recommends palliative care.  My sister is still in hospital recovering from her surgery.  We are awaiting for her medical reports together with all the test results.

My sister is willing to do all she can to heal herself as she is a widow and still have a child.  But due to her stricken condition, I would like to have a consultation with you once her medical reports are available and I will have her complete your questionnaire form.

We are in KL.  I hope you will agree to see me.  I am thankful to God for placing a burden on you to help heal many cancer patients.
Reply:  Okay…. bring all the medical reports — most likely they will ask you to do chemo.

Five Surgeries and 2 rounds chemo – still cancer spread

Dear Dr. Teo,

I have been browsing your website and find it most interesting, impressive and admirable for the work you are doing in helping and educating the unwell.

I am planning to bring my mother from KL for a visit to Cancer Care. We strongly believe in what you and others alike have been preaching with regards to allopathy, especially so when it comes to cancer.

After several surgeries and two rounds of chemo in the last 4 years, the disease never really gave us a break.  Now, it’s back again just after surgery in Nov 2013. The doctors want us to consider chemo again to alleviate the effects (albeit temporarily, so-called “pro-long”).

If there was no pain involved, my mother would definitely not even consider chemo.  It all started with CA-Ovary stage3C in 2010.  After 5 surgeries since then and 2 rounds of chemo, the disease has metastasized, although, as far as we know, not to the liver, lungs, and kidney.  The latest PET scan from March shows tumor at the pelvic floor(between vagina and rectum), abdomen and the neck area.

Out of the detected tumors in her body, it is the one at the pelvic floor that is causing her the most trouble, feelings of uneasiness and pain.  The pain as described by her is like something trying to push out from inside.  She has to take pain-killers everyday to drown out the pain, else, she would be in tears trying to control it.

We understand that there is no cure for cancer.  A consultation/diagnosis by you would be invaluable, as we really do not want to damage the body further with chemo.  Her blood-test results look good(at least to us) and the reading that causes alarm is the consistently rising CA markers over a two month period.

She has been following a strict vegetarian diet and has stopped using salt, sugar and oil with her food.

I believe that meeting you will provide some relief and help ease the tension and anxiety that my mother is going through.  As shown on your website, visiting hours are on Fridays and Sundays only.  I will bring her in to meet you on either one of these days………this week!  It is also mentioned that consultation is on a “first come first served” basis, how early does the queue usually start?

Sorry for the long email, looking forward to meeting you and learning.

Thank you very much for the work that you do.

Reply: No worry…. bring the medical reports and scan …don’t worry I shall see all patients who come.

Pancreatic cancer from the Philippines

Good Day!
I was searching for a miracle for my Mother who’s 67yrs old and diagnose with pancreatic cancer on Stage 4. Due to her age and situation she cannot have surgery or even chemotherapy.

On this situation we have nothing to turn to so now as luckily pass by your website and I want to give it a try. I know you don’t normally entertain email but this is the only hope we had.

My mother is currently in Lipa City Batangas Philippines under supervision of my sister and I am base in Dubai United Arab Emirates. Hope you can find time to read my email and can find a way how to help us. Best regards.

Reply:  Thanks for your email asking about pancreatic cancer for your mom. I am sorry she is so far away and there is no way I can help her. I need to see her, study her medical reports before I can give her the herbs … alternatively someone who takes care of her need to come …. it is so difficult. Also pancreatic cancer has NO cure.

Dear Dr. Teo,

It’s just came to my attention .. all in about 3 weeks and I have an operation on 29-4-2014 in KL by Dr. Y. I attached herewith the
discharged medical report for your kind perusal. I would like to avoid chemotherapy or radio therapy treatment and wish to meet you for your
professional guidance cum further treatment.

I planning to meet you together with Ms. SH tomorrow afternoon. Your advice in this aspect is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Prostate problem from Singapore

Dear Dr Chris Teo,
My name is  from Singapore. I am 60 years old and has been following your website for a few years now because of my raised PSA reading. I started doing PSA testing as part of my annual health screening more than 5 years ago. My readings were initially below 4 ng/ml but started to be above 4 ng/ml about 4 years ago. It was steadily creeping up and in Apr 2011 when my reading was 5.2, I was referred to a urologist. He did an ultrasound of my prostrate and found out that my prostrate size was slightly small for my age and ruled out BPH. He also did a DRE but found no lumps or nodules that could indicate prostrate cancer. He prescribed antibiotics to test whether I had prostatitis.

After 4 weeks of antibiotics my repeat PSA test showed similar reading. He then recommended that I do a prostrate biopsy which I refused. From then on, I did regular PSA testing every few months and my readings kept slowly rising.

In Nov 13 my reading was 6.3. Six months later, I did my latest test  last week and the reading has gone up significantly to 56.6. All this while, I do not have any major symptoms of prostatitis or prostrate cancer like frequently wanting to urinate, blood in the urine, high fever and chill, pain in the pelvis etc. The only symptoms I am having is feeling of urgency to urinate and going to the bathroom to urinate 2 or 3 times at night. I was naturally alarmed and saw the same urologist again. He did another ultrasound and said that my prostrate size remains small. He proceeded to do a DRE and again did not discover any lumps or nodules.

As my PSA reading is very high now, he said that I must do a prostrate biopsy to determine whether there are cancer cells since I do not show symptoms of prostatitis. I am scheduled to do the biopsy next week on 20 May.

I would to seek your urgent advice on the following:
1. Should I do the prostrate biopsy. I read that biopsy has side effects and may result in the cancer cells if present leaking out to other organs?
2. Or should I skip the biopsy, assume that I may have prostrate cancer, and straight away start treating myself for prostrate cancer using your herbal remedy and do a repeat PSA after a month or so to see whether my PSA reading has come down?
If you could give me your contact no., I could give you a call to discuss my condition.
Dr Teo, I would really appreciate your urgent response to my email. Thank you in advance.

Reply: Just come and see me. No phone consultation please!
I just wonder why do people have to wait until 56.6 before doing anything? — oop, no, they do something – saw their doctors?
I wonder what do they expect when they want to come and see me?
Magic bullet to solve their problem? PSA tumbling down after a glass or two of herbs?

Liver Cancer from Indonesia

Dear Doctor Christ,

We are living in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Recently, my father has liver cancer based on the following parameters:
1. Blood test: AFP is 10x from the normal value. The others are normal.
2. He loss his weight significantly during the last 3 years and his apetite.
3. CT-Scan: thera are at least 4 nodules/lesions having 5cm, 3cm, 1cm and 1cm of size.

My father (70 years old) has also the following diseases: tyroid, diabetes, weak heart and bronchitis. Now, he is taking Baraclub medecine since 2 weeks ago.

We have done also several consultations with several hepatologists and oncologists in Indonesia and Singapore. The most possible therapies for my father are TACE/vascular interventional and/or RFA (ablation).

According the oncologists, the liver of my father is still well function, so we would like try the treatment with the herbal tea/medecines prior to medical approaches (TACE & RFA).

Is it possible to come and see you on Sunday 18 or 25 May 2014?.

Thank you for your help in order to save my father life.
We are looking forward from you soon and your confirmation, so we can book the hotel and airplane tickets. Kind regards.

Reply: Yes, bring along your medical reports and scans.

Breast Cancer from Hong Kong

Dear Dr,

I am a F/64 cancer surviver, live in Hong kong. I was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma left breast (grade 3) and ductal cell carcinoma in situ right breast;  and left radical mastectomy and right simple mastectomy was done in July 2012 followed by chemotherapy and RT,completed in Jan 2013.

I am taking Arimidex 1 mg OD as the tumor cell is ER positive, since Feb 2013.

Now I have tingling sensation on my medial side of left upper limb, may be the side effect of RT to the supraclavicular lymph nodes. I also have mitral regurgitation with palpitation, taking Losartan 50 mg od and Propanolol 10 mg tds.

I heard from my friend that you can prescribe some other herbal medicine that help to kill or prevent cancer cell growing. Any advice or opinion from you will be much appreciated. Yours sincerely,

Reply:  You should go into my website: http://cancercaremalaysia.com/category/breast-cancer/    and read. They are many things you can learn from our experience …

I think the problems you are facing are the side effects of chemo and radiation. I never encourage patients to take hormonal therapy. Read what I have written and if you really believe in what I do and need help, send me all the medical reports etc.

Cancer from India: Chemo failed

Dear Dr. Chris Teo,

I am from Mumbai, India and I am writing to you in relation to the health condition of my Father. I got your reference from the internet and have gone through your website.

My father is 66 years old. In September, 2013 he was diagnosed with cancer. The Biopsy report reflected ‘Metastatic poorly differentiated basaloid squamous carcinoma. The Tumour cells express CK & p63. The PET- Scan reflected that the cancer was spread in various parts of his body.

His chemotherapy started on September 12, 2013. After three cycles of chemotherapy the PET- Scan revealed that the cancer has reduced substantially. We continued with three more cycles of chemotherapy and did a PET- Scan after 2 months from the end of the sixth cycle. The PET- Scan reflected further growth of cancer in various parts of his body. We were advised for another round of chemotherapy (the Seventh Cycle).

After the Seventh Cycle of chemotherapy my father became extremely weak and the doctor advised to suspend chemotherapy for about three months.

The current state of medication and my father is as follows:

  1. He has developed severe pain in his back and shoulder. We have been advised that this is due to the tumour in his vertebra and he is undergoing radiotherapy for that.
  2. His general health condition has gone down and he does not eat properly.
  3. He has become very weak.
  4. Chemotherapy and other medication has stopped and he is on a oral medicine called Gefifact.
  5. We are also consulting and Ayurvedic doctor and he is under his medication for about 2 weeks now.

We are looking at delaying the growth of cancer cells and prolonging lifespan and maintain better the quality of life.

We were wondering if you will be able to help us. If so, we would like to visit you with the medical reports of my father (and avoid any travel of my father as he is weak).

I am attaching the following documents for your preliminary review:

  1. Biopsy report
  2. Most recent PET- Scan Report
  3. Details of chemotherapy administered
  4. Latest blood test reports

If you wish we can send his entire medical records for your review.

We hope that this information is helpful. We really appreciate your time and look forward to hear from you.

Thanks and kind regards,

Reply: Thanks for your email. I am afraid it is very, very difficult for me to help people from far away country like India. I do send herbs to New Dehli but so far sending herbs to Mumbai is very difficult. Customs will stop it. The cancer is rather rare ..chemo is of no use … but what to do? If you live in Malaysia I ask you to come and see me, but it is extremely difficult for me to help patients from India.

Dear Dr. Chris Teo,

Thank you for you email. Do you think it is possible that we visit you and carry the medicines with us. Thanks and regards,

Reply: You can come and take the medicine home …for one time but next month when the medicine is finished … what happen? It takes about 2 weeks to send by air mail post BUT I am not sure if your customs will allow you in or not ….the last time I sent, it got stuck with the customs …..so, I am disappointed.
