The content of this long email has been removed … because the writer objected to this posting.

But the message to those reading this  must be made clear ……

Those of you who write e-mail to me —– know that your email will be posted in this website. It is a waste and pity to just delete or junk your email. There are many lessons we can learn from your experiences.

Of course your personal details with be withheld … only your story or misadventure will the revealed. This is to share the writer’s problem with others … so that others may benefit from your “misadventure.” Learn from the mistakes of others. But if you are not prepared to share …. CA Care is not a place to come for help or to write to.

Also don’t ask us for the address of other patients … for you to interview or grill them …. it is not ethical for us to discuss their identity. If you don’t want to share, don’t expect others to share or help you!

Reminder: No need to write long e-mail. And don’t set your precondition before you want to come and see us. If you want things done the easy way, better that you go and find someone “next door” to help you.

Even if you come, know that I cannot cure your cancer. We don’t offer any magic bullet.

Breast Cancer Went to Her Brain After Some Years. Three months to live.

Dear Dr. Chris,

My name is R, tonight I’ve read a lot of you and ca care from the internet like so many others. The first 30 minutes when I read about your method, I’m so hooked up with it. Especially the video “Tidak Sanggup Pantang Tak Perlu Jumpa Saya” I just knew that this is my answer. I too don’t believe that cancer can be cured but I strongly believe that we can have a better life without chemo. And after almost 10 hours of reading, I knew I have to seek your consul.

This is my short story: I have a mother in law how was diagnosed with breast cancer and already undergo a surgery 11 years ago, late last year, around November 2014, my mother in law was suddenly have a terrible nausea, she throw up every hour or so in a day. I insist that she goes to a hospital and get a check. The doctor, whose my mother in law friend, suggest that she undergo a CT scan and a thorax scan (he knew about my mother past cancer). And from that scan, I knew it was a metastasis from her previous breast cancer, although I sincerely hope it was not. Soon after that she undergo a brain surgery to lift up the lump on her brain, the lump resulting back to confirm that my hope is false. It is a metastasis.

After that brain surgery, my mother in law is scheduled to undergo a ‘targeted chemo’ with herceptin. The first 3 months after the surgery and while undergoing chemo, my mother was like before, energetic strong woman. Until about 10 days ago.

10 days ago, she had another CT scan and there was another lump on her right brain. Also her left body part start to get weaker and weaker, now she barely can walk and move her left hand. Her doctor said that the targeted chemo with herceptin is a failure, so she up’ed the dosage, with radio therapy and the old chemo, which she was so afraid to undergo it again.

And when we went to another doctor for 2nd opinion, the doctor said what I already know, there is no cure for cancer, just accept it and live with no regret and also she predicted that my mother in law might only have another 3 months to live.

3 days ago, she finished her 4 days radio therapy session, with slight or no effect of improvement. So some of our friend and family suggested us to seek medical treatment on Penang. I was researching about Penang hospital when I found your site.

After several discussion with my wife, I decided to take my mother in law to Mt. Miriam Cancer hospital even-though I would rather go straight to your place. But you said that we should seek hospital treatment first before coming to you. I planned to go there this week if possible.

From Google Maps, it appears that your place and Mt. Miriam Hospital is rather close. So my question is, can I go to your place alone while my mother in law undergo a series of initial check on the hospital? Or should I bring my mother in law too? I don’t know if she have the faith to believe you like I do. I knew she will have little problems with the diet since already live a healthy life but my wife said that she might can’t accept that there is no cure for cancer, she still strongly believe that she can and willing to fight it.

I’m sorry for this very long email and taking your time, but your writing and post on the internet is really lift up my spirit for a better life for my mother in law. Also sorry for my English if it’s messed up. I’ll wait for your reply eagerly.

Thanks.

Reply: No need to write long e-mail. Just come and see me if you think I can help you. But there is no cure for cancer.

Lung-Brain Cancer from Singapore: I cannot cure you!

Dear Dr Teo,

I read about you and CA Care and would like to seek your help with regards to my mother. They will be making a trip to Penang and I would like them to visit you this Friday to consult you. I’ve attached my responses to the information required on the First Visit for your attention. Kindly advise if we can seek your help on this.

Thank you. Singapore

Age: 57

Part 1: Medical history

Lung Cancer Stage 3 spread (metastasis). Latest MRI scan showed 2 tumours (4mm) in the brain.

How it started, what doctors you have seen and the treatments given.

Early 2013. Pain in the chest and further scans revealed spot in the right lungs.

Early – Mid 2013, Lobectomy performed in the right lung and further tests revealed lymph nodes affected. Undergone chemotherapy.

Mid 2014. Recurrence in the right lung. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy concurrently. Due to the severe side effects experienced, stopped chemotherapy halfway. Completed radiotherapy.

Nov 2014. MRI scans revealed two 4mm tumours in the brain. CT scan revealed swelling of the lymph nodes near the left lung.

Radiology oncologist recommended 2 options for the brain:

1) SRS

2) Whole brain radiotherapy

Part B : Your Current Medications

Visited Thong Chai Medical Institution in Singapore for TCM and taking the prescribed herbs.

Reply: I read through your medical history — you have done all that needed to be done …. you have also used TCM herbs. I don’t think you need to come and see me at all. There is NOTHING much I can do to help. I cannot cure cancer. Even if you come, what can I do? Nothing much …the cancer has gone to the brain.

Lung-Brain Cancer from Jakarta

Dear Prof Chris,

My name is K H and I am from Jakarta, Indonesia. I would like to go to Penang and meet you to consult regarding my father ASAP. But do we need to do any appointment before? Or we can just come any time?

Here is a short story about my father:

My father has a lung cancer and it was diagnosed around 1,5 years ago. He felt uncomfortable around his left chest so he went for a medical checkup, and they found out that there was liquid inside his lung. So he went for a surgery and they found out that the cancer was stage 3B.

Not long after the first surgery was taken, the cancer cell spread to the abdomen because they found liquid around that area (apparently his cancer cell is the type that produce liquid). We took the liquid out, but the liquid came back again.

Then the cell spread to the brain because there is liquid in his brain. Then we took it out also, but the doctor said that the liquid in his brain can only be taken out twice or three times a year, but my dad has took it us four times.

So his status now is weak, doctor has stopped his chemo so currently he doesn’t have any medication and he has been hospitalised for almost a month. He still has the energy to walk and to talk, but the only concern is he keeps on vomiting, and couldn’t eat, because he will keeps on vomiting again.

Also, for 3 weeks, he couldn’t catch the conversation like usual. He will forget things, and keep on repeating certain words. We understand it might be the liquid inside his brain is increasing and the liquid pressured the brain, and that’s why he keeps on vomiting.

We don’t know what to do… we have no direction. We thought drinking herbal might makes him at least better or we can see an improvement. Thanks for your attention Prof, hope to receiving your email really, really soon.

Reply: Yes, come and see me with all the medical reports and scans ….. Friday at 3 pm on wards or Sunday at 7 pm on wards.

Breast Cancer – gone to the lungs and brain

My name is R. I got your card from my neighbour. I would like to know when you will be coming to KL. Can you please give me your address?

Reply:  What is your problem or do you have any problem? Where are you from anyway?

I am suffering from cancer, I had breast cancer in 2006. It relapsed in 2010 to my lungs and this year to my brain. The doc also found lymph nodes near my neck. Even my adrenal gland on my right kidney has expanded. The radiotherapy on my brain done in March 2012 had affected my voice box. I have not recovered fully after the radiotherapy. I was told by my neighbour that you specialise in curing people with cancer.

I was supposed to go for another chemo or radiotherapy but I opted out cos I am still weak to go through this.

Metastatic Brain Cancer

Dear Dr Chris,

I’m from Jakarta-Indonesia. My Mom, 62 –year-old was diagnosed with Brain Tumour (Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma). She has already undergone a tumor operation (the biggest is in her right side, two other is small and inside the brain) at L Hospital, Penang, by Dr. X, brain surgeon.

Unfortunately after the surgery, my mom had complications, so for almost three weeks she was in CCU. She hardly could breathe and see at first, then CCU doctor, Dr. Y suggested to make a ventilator in her throat so she can breathe easily, but still helped by a machine (70%). Meanwhile Dr A assigned Dr Z to help shrink my mom’s left tumor near her brain because the tumor keeps pushing her neuro-system which makes her unable to see, move and breathe. So Dr Z gave 10-15 times of radiation. After the radiation, my mom can now breathe using regular oxygen and move to regular room.

Since she moved to regular room, Dr X assigned neurologist Dr S to help my mom physiotherapy so she can move her body part and sit, because my mom still sleeps in bed. Dr Z said he can’t start treatment if my mom’s condition is still weak. Her right body part cannot really move unlike the left side, and now she is using ventilator with 2 liter oxygen per day.

My mom is almost a month in L Hospital. Now we run out of finance. Dr Z suggested that we bring my mom home and make sure there is neurologist who can handle my mom in Jakarta. After she gets better, she can start the treatment.

With this letter, I really need your help. What should we do with my mom?  Now, she is still in L Hospital and is being taken care of by my sister. We really want to meet you and discuss about this. My sister just calling your clinic but there is no answer. If you don’t mind, would you call her back on her cell phone? We really appreciate your prompt feedback.
