On the side line — shopping for a cure?

Dear Dr. Chris Teo,

Hello and a very good day to you. I got your contacts via my aunt who suffered from cancer 10 years ago. She had been through radiation therapy but stopped after have your consultation and taking your medication. Right now she is still living well and the cancer did not come back.

Back to the subject, I would like to book an appointment slot on Oct 17 1030hrs on behalf of my father, who has stage 3 colon cancer. He just went through operation … to remove the cancer part under advise of Doctor on 22nd Aug. We are afraid that the cancer will come back. So we will like to have your consultation and take the prescribed medication from you.

My parents will be in Penang from Oct 14 to Oct 22 to attend my ROM. Due to the busy schedule, we are only free on Oct 17, 18 and 21, as per your appointment slot, morning 1030hrs to 1130hrs. We understand that you will be busy as well, providing consultation to other patients as well, therefore we would like to find a slot for my dad consultation. Hopefully we can work it out and make it happens.

Please find the requested first time visit form which I filled up on behalf of my dad. We can filled that properly during the consultation. I also attach along his medical report in this mail in case that you needed them.

Please kindly revert back on the possibility of the appointment slot at your earliest convenience.

Appreciate your help and thank you in advance. Have a good day. Thanks and regards,

Surgery, Chemo, Radiation Did Not Cure Her! Made her worse off?

Dear Dr. Chris Teo,

Good evening.

My name is T and I am writing to seek your advice on my mother’s condition.

She is 72 years old and was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer with liver metastases on 30th August 2014 last year at KPJ, Ipoh.

The doctor advised for urgent surgery as the tumor was almost 100% blocking her colon.  The surgery was done on 3rd September 2014 about 3 days after the diagnosis.

About 4 weeks after the surgery, she undergone her first chemotherapy.  The chemotherapies were performed once every two weeks.  The CEA level go up and down during this process.  She was having numbness on her hand, feet and right face which I think may due to side effects of the chemo and her disease.  The numbness is still there today. At the same time, she is having lower back pain.

In February 2015 (during the Chinese New Year), her right eyelid  ‘drop/close’ suddenly and we sent her to hospital for investigation.  At that moment, she has already undergone  7 times of chemotherapy.  She was sent for plain CT Brain scan and report came back with the following comment :

“Heterogenous mass is seen at the right parasellar region with extension into sphenoid sinus and destruction of the adjacent bones.”

The doctor recommended a treatment consist of 10 radiotherapies treatment – one treatment a day for 10 days on the parasellar mass.  During the radiotherapy, the chemotherapy was temporary stop.

Chemotherapy was continued after this radiotherapy treatment.

Around one month after completion of this radiotherapy treatment (April 2015), her eyelid opened but she experienced double vision.  Unfortunately, in June 2015, her right eyelid ‘drop/close’ again and the lower back pain worsen.  We sent her back to hospital for investigation again.

The doctor performed ultrasound on her upper abdomen and X-ray Thoracic and lumbosacral spine.  The impression on the upper abdomen was reported as below :-

“ Diffuse liver metastases. Unable to detect any focal lesions by USS”

The impression on the X-ray was reported as below :

“ Osteoporosis with wedge compression fracture T10. No sign to suggest pathological fracture at the moment.  Lumbar spondylosis  incidently noted”

The doctor recommended another chemotherapy with new drug call “ Irinotecan”.  This chemo was done in 23rd June 2015.  She was discharged from hospital after the chemotherapy and is now resting at home with sickening side effects.

She has so far undergone 11 chemotherapy of 5FU, 2 chemotherapy of oral Xeloda 500 mg and 1 chemo of Irinotecan.  Her body is very weak now.

My mother is believer in herbs and we  hope that Dr. Teo can provide us with some advice.  Perhaps, shall I make appointment to see you so that I can bring her full medical report to seek your professional  advice.  The above is just a summary which I briefly recall.

For your information, I am her second son and is now working in Kuala Lumpur. My mother is now at hometown Ayer Tawar, Perak with my sister and brother looking after her.

Hope to get your favorable responses which I believe can offer some hope to our beloved mother and I appreciate for your time to go through this  email.

Best regards.

Colon Cancer from Batam, Indonesia

Dear Dr Teo,

I am KK from Batam, Indonesia.

My mother was diagnosed  with colon cancer yesterday and I came across your blog while searching to understand the disease last night.

Here’s some details of her condition:

My mother (77 years old), has been feeling some pain in the left side of her lower abdomen for slightly more than a month. She has seen three GP at Tanjung Pinang. As she has also experiencing constipation since last week, I brought her to Johor and  we consulted a gastroenterologist. The doctor recommended a colonoscopy and it was performed yesterday morning. The result is not good. We saw a huge tumor, 4 cm in length, at 17 cm from the rectum. We were immediately booked to see a surgeon who advised us to have an operation as soon as possible, for fear that the tumor might grow to completely block the intestine within few days or weeks. The surgeon also mentioned that judging from the invasiveness of the growth, chemotherapy is likely needed after the operation.

We had a family meeting this afternoon, and my siblings suggested that we go to Singapore tomorrow to get a second opinion.

We understand that my mother might not be able to withstand the chemotherapy. So we do not plan to let her suffer thru the chemo after reading and hearing so much about the adverse side-effects. We plan to bring my mother to visit Dr Teo and seek your help to treat her.

However, we have one concern. The part of the intestine with the tumor has almost been blocked, leaving just a hole of the size of the little finger.

We’d like to seek your advice:

  1. How many days after taking the herbs and following the diet and other instructions you are going to give, can we expect to see the tumor start to shrink? My fear is that the intestine will get fully blocked before the herbs take effect.
  2. In your opinion, which is better for my mother, is it going thru the operation first before taking herbs, or do not go for operation at all but start immediately taking the herbs.
  3. Is there any other thing you think will be useful to share with me?

Dr Teo, thank you for reading my email and I’m looking forward to hear from you. I have read quite a bit of your blog and thanks for the information with hope you have been sharing online.

With Regards.

Reply:  You can go for the operation …. after the operation …rest for 2 weeks and then can take the herbs.

Thanks Dr Teo for your prompt reply. Will keep in touch with you.

Dear Dr Teo,

My mom has a colon cancer removed and she was discharged 4 days ago on Sunday. According to her surgeon, her cancer is stage 3 because cancer is found in some part of the lymphatic system. We are very concerned and would like to make a trip to see you as soon as possible. Will it be possible for us to have a consultation with you this Friday. Thank you.

Reply: Come on any day next week from Monday to Friday at 11 a.m.

Terminal Stage Colon Cancer – Treatment is just to buy time

Dear Dr. Chris,

Nice to meet you.  My dad is diagnosed with 4th stage of colon cancer  days ago.   Attached above is some of the photos during the operation and reports.

My dad has proper diet all these while. Every morning, he will have oats. But he has a bad habits of eating tit bits such as nuts and Chinese tea during night time. He started to have this discomfort feeling at the lower abdominal area during Feb’14. During Apr’14, he had shingles at his abdominal area but recovered quite fast without any medication. However the discomfort feelings continue, therefore he went to seek for specialist during late Apr’14.

Finally, he went for operation on 24/5/2014 and by then diagnosed by doctor with 4th stage of colon cancer. Doctor did not remove the tumor but did a by-pass. According to the doctor, the cancer cells have spread all over his abdominal organs. Even with chemotherapy, it is just to buy time. Details are attached above.

I am desperately to meet you so that I can help my dad. However, he just underwent operation. Do you think his condition is fit to travel down to Penang and meet you in person? We stay in Shah Alam, Selangor. Or do you think I can just meet you personally and bring my dad over by then?

Your help and opinion is very much needed. Hope to receive your reply the soonest the possible. Very much appreciated. Thanks.

Note: My dad did a heart by-pass surgery few years before. He has slight high cholesterol.

Reply: No problem, come and see me.

Colon Cancer: Go for operation and don’t be fooled

Dear Dr Chris

My name is H, from Indonesia. I’m writing to you for help regarding my father’s disease. On October 2013, he had abdominal pain and felt something was stuck in his stomach. He decided to consult with doctor at Omni Hospitals (dr. Indra Politan, Sp. PD) on October 31st, 2013. He did USG and CT Scan with result of tumour in colon with size of egg.

To know more, my father consulted to Siloam Hospitals (Dr. Robert Tedjasaputra, SpPD KGEH) and did colonoscopy on November 4th, 2013. The result is attached, with conclusion tumour descenden 50 cm from anus. Dr. Robert suggested him to do operation immediately, but my father decided to search for alternative method.

My father consulted to Dr. X, famous nutricionist in Indonesia. Dr. X suggested to consume healthy food and avoid rice, oat, flour, MSG and sweet food (sugar, ketchup, etc). My father consumed vegetables (broccoli, lettuce, tomato or cucumber), fruit (avocado, apple or pear) and white meat (chicken or ocean fish) every day since consultation with Dr. X. The food must be prepared raw or steamed and no fried food allowed. To complement those food, my father also consumed 15 pils of Omega3, 3 pils of Vitamin C – 1000mg, 1 pils of Vitamin E – 200 iu, for every day.

Dr. X suggested my father to do colonoscopy on Februari 6th, 2013. He did colonoscopy in Siloam Hospitals and the conclusion is colon adenocarninoma. Dr. X, with regard of the result, suggested to do operation. All medic documents are attached.

My father never consumed medicine (from hospitals or herbal) from the first day of his disease. But he believe that herbal medicine can cure his disease. Therefore we ask for your advice and suggestion.

Reply: You need to for surgery and have the tumor removed. Don’t be fooled.

Grandmother with Colon Cancer in Singapore

Hi Chris,  May I ask you for some advice. My grandmother have colon cancer stage 3 but she is going for chemo every week. I put pressure on her to not go but she insists. I have added alternative treatments to her diet as well. I wonder is there any advice or herbs that you can give me? Is it possible to order herbs from you? At the moment I am giving her Transfer factor plus from 4life. Have u heard of it? It says it can boost NK cells by 400 percent and it can fight cancer well too. I am afraid it might not be enough.

May I know what is your advice? She can’t come to Malaysia and I need help. Are Chinese doctors with professors in Singapore good enough? I am desperate .

Reply: Can you come and see me? Chris

At the moment I can’t leave Singapore and I am only 20. Don’t have the cash or resource to do so. I am really lost sir.  I don’t know what else can be done.

Reply: Ask the son or daughter of the patients …why?  you are just a grandson? Chris.

Because my whole family believe in stupid chemo. I am the only one who believe in herbs and alternative treatments.

Reply: No need to fight … if that is what they believe …let them … everybody has to die …if they decide …let them do what they like! Chris

Extensive Colon-Liver Cancer: Do Eight Chemos – Only Three Months to Live

Dear Dr Chris,

I came to know you several years ago when you were on TV2 Forum talking about cancer… I quickly wrote down your no and kept it. I have also refer many of my clients – cancer patients to you.

Attached please see my uncle CT Scan report. He was normal and cheerful till April 2013 when the xxx Oncologist xxx asked him go xxx to do the CT Scan.

He now asked my uncle aged 79 to do 8 chemo!! We advised him not to, as he still can work, walk eat… We were annoyed as the Dr told him he has 3 to 4 months to live only!  Coz my  uncle asked him.  Of course he and his wife were extremely sad.  Now from a happy person, he has lost hope, suddenly feel so down, depress, no more smile on his face and he is getting weaker and weaker, as he has lost his appetite to eat.

I consulted a Dr in PJ, after seeing this report he said:

Eat more meat!  Lean red meats, fish, chicken etc… DO NOT GO VEGETARIAN.  He needs protein to stay strong and fight.  Don’t simply make your own conclusion that vegetarian is good. It can become very dangerous for cancer patients.  Body can shut down faster.  Eat more and eat well.  Balance meals, lots of water, fresh foods, fresh beef, lamb, pork, fresh veggies.

Food that he enjoy – keep him satisfied and positive.  Very little that you can do, but can make sure he lives a quality life, prolonged life, keep the body stronger for longer and last longer. Back to good nutrition, PROTEIN NUMBER ONE, good fats etc…

Highly appreciate if you could advice how can you help my uncle?  He stays in Negeri Sembilan.  He is a very kind, humble, lovable, generous, sociable and merciful person, we are extremely sad why he suffer such illness!!

I also forward his report for a doctor relative Dr K for adv.

Please help and appreciate your advice asap.

Thank you very much Dr Chris and may the good Lord Jesus bless you and all of us.

Warm regards, EL.

Reply:  Aya, what is so difficult — just bring him to come and see me. Bring all the scans and reports. And did he do the chemo?

Can he read? or listen or watch videos?   Go to my website…www.cancercaremalaysia.com  and click on the video presentation that I gave in KL on 11 May 2013.

Let him watch them.

In the video of my talk — same story — the doctors said: No surgery, no chemo you have only 3 months Now she is 3 years and still alive. Listen to that. http://cancercaremalaysia.com/2013/05/15/video-presentation-talk-by-chris-teo-11-may-2013-kuala-lumpur/

Then if he can read, get this book—Cancer What Now?

What is so difficult — the difficulty is people don’t believe or don’t what to help themselves —That I cannot help.

Take care, Chris

Thank you very much for your quick reply. No, they do not want him do chemo.  Just let him live the normal live till the end?  I asked his sons to watch and show the videos to his dad.  He only understands Chinese. A shopkeeper of a hardware shop, selling all kinds of pesticides, chemicals, cements, fertilizers, paints etc for more than 80 yrs. He do not want to travel to Penang, too far.

Stage 4 Colon Cancer from Ipoh

Hi Dr. Chris,

I got to know about Cancer Care (cacare.com) and yourself when we do our research on colon cancer and the treatment.

Our father (74 yrs old) has been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer yesterday.

Due to his age and current health condition, we collectively agreed that surgery, radiotherapy and chemo will be very difficult and stressful on his already weaken health state.

We read all the success stories about your herbal treatment and it inspire us and give us some hope. We are not wishing for miracle, for a complete cure but to reduce his suffering/pain and it will be a bonus to prolong his healthy lifestyle.

My father is now living in Ipoh, how can we go about to let our father to have this herbal medicine treatment.

Does he need to travel to Penang? We would choose not to have him travel up to Penang.

I understand that we need to do 2 things:
Fill in First Visit Form
Part 1: Medical history
Part B : Your Current Medications
Part C: Your Current Health
Sign the Disclaimer and Release of Liability

What are the other information required for you to prescribe the herbal medication for him and either we collect or send via DHL/Fedex.

Appreciate your prompt response and attention. Thank you Dr. Chris.

Thanks Dr. Chris,

It was a relief to have such a prompt response. My younger sister will be in Penang on a working trip next week. Just to confirm the address, is it 5, Lebuhraya Gelugor, Penang.
Tel: 04-6595881

Do we need to make an appointment? I will have my sister arrange the schedule to meet up with you together with all the necessary medical reports and scans. Thank you Dr. Chris.

Reply:  Come and see with all the medical reports and scans. No need to bring the patient. Chris

Comment: Healing can only be found by the committed. No for people who wants to do things by the side-line or at their own convenience. You don’t play the game according to your own rule or convenience.

Dr. Chris Thank You, But My Wife Died

On Tue, Oct 30, 2012 at 5:22

H-733 was a 65-year-old lady. Our Herbs Did Not Cure His Mother of Her Terminal Leukemia Within Two Weeks

Dear Chris,

I wrote after seeing the above posting. My wife SJ.57 also passed away on the 24 October 2012 at 8.15am, with cancer started from her colon, ovarian, liver and lungs.

After her ops on her colon and ovarian on 22 May, 12, she declined chemo and we supported her wishes and my daughter took her to see your Subang branch and took the prepare boiled herbs for 2 months, then we went back to Sabah to attend her father’s 10 years death anniversary for 7 days. I asked her to bring all the herbs back but she said she can take the capsule type as not convenient to cook in others’ home. Told her we get a gas tank to compensate. She said too troublesome.

While there her feet swell and subside. On return my daughter saw her swelling feet and told her to go to Sunway Medical Centre but she declined. Saying there is no cure. I told them we go to Penang to see you but she declined as she said even Dato Punch Gunalan with a Doctor son also died. My daughter had to respect her wishes. She told me no cure for mum. Two weeks later her stomach bloated.

I told her that she might as well take holy water from her church if she declined chemo and Dr. Chris herbs. Then I gave Sabah Snake Grass for 2 weeks and nothing happens but her stomach kept growing
every week at the rate like a pregnant woman baby growing per month. She blamed me and the Sabah Snake Grass but told her I only administrate it after her bloating stomach.

My daughter said no cure, her liver motas and discharged liquid. Her eyes showed jaundice.  We requested the Govt. Hospital to tap the liquid. The Dr. said the motas had attacked her liver and ultrasound showed no liquid. We knew it’s a matter of time before her body system will shut down completely, yet I bullied her to fight on, until she chased me away. Saying I’m killing her faster.

Finally she agreed to go to Sunway Med. for tapping, the Dr. said there is no hope and he would not give chemo to his relatives AT THIS STAGE , but do pain management. Warded to monitor for tapping and this cost about RM10K a week to stay there. Her body was shutting down, she lost about 3 kilos fast every week. Eating 4-5 spoonful mee sauh every 3 hours. Tapping done twice. She died 5 days after the 2nd. Tap.

We thank GOD and Drs. She died peacefully with very little pain and we know we have done the best for her but we lost the battle.

I wrote to let Mr. Chin, the son of the above mentioned lady that I lost my wife, I blamed nobody but fate.
Let their souls RIP. Amen.

Reply: Thank you for writing. Do you mind if I share this email with others. I shall cut off your name if you want me to do so, but it is good if the name remains but with no phone number, otherwise people think I am cooking up this email. Thanks. Chris.

Dear Dr. Chris,

Please do with my name too for I wish to tell the truth. You did what you can to help others. My wife made the mistake to stop taking your herbs which help during the 2 months but she wanted a cure fast which is not possible as it was too late.

We wish to thank you, please continue to help us, as Dr. Amir wrote in the STAR saying
chemo may not be the solution (barking at the wrong tree) and the specialists should heed his warnings.

It is painful to lose a dear one and it is frustrating when no cure is found, but others were cured.

Thank you Dr. I admire what you do to fight cancer. May the GOD guide your hands.

Best regards,
Ng Thian Yew

Colorectal Cancer from Sydney

Hi Chris,

I just happened to stumble upon your website.

My very best friend is undergoing her first chemotherapy this Friday, and they are going to put a “potacap” (I hope this is how it is spelt) tomorrow. She has already undergone bowel obstruction surgery 8 weeks ago, and the oncologist is keen to start chemo ASAP, as he said the standard should be to start chemo 6 weeks after surgery. But my friend has not been recovering too well with the bowel obstruction surgery, and currently she is coughing from some infection we got in the hospital, though she is on broad spectrum antibiotics.

I am writing this email urgently from Sydney and would like to know if you have any capsules / teas / whatever else that can help that she can take during each recovery cycle of chemo (the oncologist said it’ll be 2 days of outpatient chemo of 4 hours each, and then 12 days of recovery, before the next chemo 14-day cycle). If you can, can you please email me your phone/mobile number so that I can call you directly today / tomorrow?

If you can please help? I am now very desperate for any kind of help. Many thanks,

Reply: Sorry, I cannot help patients from Australia.
