Breast Cancer: When surgery, chemo and tamoxifen did not cure

Hi Dr. Chris,

my name is Y and I am from ….. The reason I am writing this letter to you is because my wife K, 45 years old is suffering from cancer since 2004. The cancer first detected was from the breast and she already have her breast surgically removed and after that went for chemotherapy. She also took tamoxifen.

But the cancer still spread and all in to date she already have 4 bouts of chemotherapy. All her chemo did not work. For the last chemotherapy, she did not complete her cycle because the chemo is not working anymore as her pain worsens.

Right now she is warded in GH for the past 3 weeks just for pain management only. The last CT scan one month ago the cancer have spread to her back bones. She is now immobilised and even had difficulty sitting up.

Dr, I am at a lost right now on what I can do to help my wife. I would certainly like to make an appointment to bring my wife to consult you on anything that can be done personally but her  condition doesn’t permit us to do so. Dr, I know that you are very busy with your schedules and patient I sincerely wish you could help us on this or advice us on how to ease her pain.

Thank you Dr for your time to read this mail. Right now I am just praying miracle will happen. God bless you. Yours sincerely.

Reply: Everybody who comes to see me wants a miracle … but I am not god and I don’t offer any miracle. Things like this happen all the time … but if I can help in anyway, you can come and see me at 11 am ….. Monday to Friday … go to www.cancercaremalaysia.com to get more detail.

Breast Cancer Gone Wild

Dear Dr. Chris,

My mum, based in JB, had been diagnosed with breast cancer almost a decade back. As part of her treatment, she has been taking Tamoxifen. The doctor informed us that 1 in 3000 women will suffer from cervical cancer as a side effect of taking Tamoxifen.

I’m certainly no doctor, and I don’t know all the mechanics involved in my mum’s treatment. All I do know is, almost 4 weeks ago, fluid was found in my mum’s womb. A week later, she had her entire womb removed surgically. I believe her uterus and 16 lymph nodes were removed. Of the 16, 2 of the nodes were found with ‘tumours’.

That’s what I’ve been told, and the medical report is obscure with jargon I don’t understand. My mum will be seeing an oncologist in a few days, but she decided she was not going to wait for an oncologist to tell her what treatment she needs and is seeking all avenues of treatment, including your very successful natural method.

I understand that you require your patients to visit you for consultation in Penang, and my mum is willing to fly or drive down. In lieu of meeting you, I’ve also attached her medical reports. From everything I’ve read on your website, the patient must be ready and willing to change their lifestyle and habits permanently in order for treatment to work. My mum is definitely willing and able to do that.

I have prepared the First Visit Form and the Disclaimer from Liability Form for her to fill up, and will submit them to you when she goes down to Penang for the consultation. From the medical reports attached, please advise on the next step my mum will need to take.

Thank you and God Bless.

Patients come to us: Some believe some don’t

Hi Dr. Teo,

My apologies for taking such a long time to touch base. I have been very sick since I came back from Malaysia  4 weeks ago. I am feeling a lot better now except I that I still have trouble shaking off the persisting cough.

Thank you so much for seeing me. I have stopped taking Tamoxifen since the day I saw you last month and is taking your herbs: Breast M, C- Tea and Capsule A religiously. No problems with C-Tea and capsule A but Breast M gives me the ‘hibbies jibbies’! Too thick, so I reduce it from 6 tbsp to 3 tbsp. I will slowly increase the dose back to 6 tbsp once I get used to it.

The appointment with you has really ‘opened up’ my eyes about chemotherapy and its toxic effects on cancer patients. I have to admit I never gave it much thought before as it is a job which I have been trained to administer the ‘deadly’ drugs. Even my husband is so impressed and convinced by your knowledge on orthodox anti cancer treatments that he started downloading a lot more information from the internet for me. This one on “Cancer Research – A Super Fraud ?” by Robert Ryan,B.Sc. and “The Truth About the Drug Companies” by Marcia Angell, M.D. will make one realize how powerful these drug companies are.

My approach at work now in the oncology ward has changed quite dramatically. I will let my patients know exactly what my thoughts are as far as chemotherapy is concerned. At the end of the day, drug companies are the ‘winners’ and the patients are the ‘losers’ at the expense of us tax payers.

Cancer patients are dying in painful circumstances everyday not because of the disease but rather from the side effects and complications of the chemotherapy. Hope I don’t get into trouble with my oncologists when I let my patients know the truth about chemotherapy.

My uncle, from Chenderiang, who is your patient will be a living proof. I am so glad my cousins took my advice against getting my uncle to have chemotherapy and brought him to see you instead. Had he gone for chemo/radiation, he won’t be still around today. Yes, we know the cancer will take over one day but at least he is still enjoying some quality of life now whereas if he has chemo/radiation, he would probably be bed bound and suffering from the side effects of the therapies and making life impossible for everyone in the household.

Thank God for your CA CARE. The more I reflect on the ‘incidents’ leading to my 1st appointment with you, the more convinced I am that God is in control. As the saying goes: All things happen for a reason. And I have no doubt we cancer patients are in your ‘hands but God heals’.

Thank you for looking after us cancer patients and God Bless.

Reply: Be careful, the powers that be may sack you from your job!
